I am the designer for this pattern and all patterns in my shop.
This pattern is for a 12 shaft loom. I used a table loom to weave this which allows for more "tie-up" combinations, by using the levers, than most floor looms.
If using a floor loom the pattern uses 15 treadles
This is for the threading, tie up and treadling sequence only. There are no calculations for the amount of yarn you may need.
The sample was woven using 10/2, 20/2 and 3/2 or 5/2 doubled. You can substitute other size yarns for this pattern.
These instructions assume you are familiar with the Overshot weave structure.
Fabric Description: Plain weave with overshot: using two to three shuttles
The PDF Tie-up is written for a Jack or rising shed loom. If you have a sinking shed or counter Marche loom you will need to adapt the tie up.
This structure is woven with one warp and two wefts. The plain weave, also called the ground or tabby weft and the pattern or supplementary weft. For more information on this structure there are many references on the internet or in books.
If you have any problems or questions please contact me. After purchasing if you have trouble downloading contact me with an email and I will send them to you.
